Given the shenanigans in China do Microsoft want Actiblizz any more?
I really don’t understand this, sure it’s a popular game.
Sony have been offered a deal where for at least a decade it will be available on other consoles.
Is it simply the popularity of cod ?
Cos EA hoover up producers like no one’s buisness and then ruin every IP they get.
All big companies Sony Microsoft Nintendo have console exclusive games.
Honestly. Any other company I’d probs die on the hill to prevent the merger.
This though. ActiBlizz is already dead to me. There’s so much context required. Frankly I either want them shut down or bought up. MS is the least evil with the deep enough pockets.
This deal isn’t good for the industry. I’ve no skin in this game as I own all three major consoles and a gaming PC. So irrespective of what happens it doesn’t affect me. But this deal isn’t good. Even if you take COD out of the equation the company is simply too big to acquire when they’ve recently bought Bethesda. Maybe if they had waited about five years things might have been different. But if the UK, EU, and US are against this deal then MS should pull out of it. Yeah, they can fight it in the courts but that could take years and they might still lose.
MS don’t have a stellar record with games recently. Looking at you 343 so if they end up owning CoD then expect the series to go downhill imo
Kinda weird Microsoft can get so much scrutiny over this, yet individuals can buy up multiple papers and tv networks painlessly
