These kits are great but they’re not always ideal because you can often not bleed enough to submit proper quantities for testing. I had this issue myself. Going in for proper blood samples is definitely more ideal for accurate testing if you can manage it.
Some nurses get really annoyed when you ask for testing in a clinic, even if you explain the issues. Don’t feel bad about being a bit annoying as it’s absolutely better than getting HIV late due to a bad sample, just remember to be polite.
Trouble is they ask for like 5 drops of blood. And my body doesn’t like giving out blood.
I ran out of the needles they give you. After that I tried using a knife. I followed all their instructions.
I finally gave up and had to beg my GP to approve a clinic blood test.

These suck. The prick thing barely gets out a drop of blood and because they have these kits now they won’t let you get an in person check.
They’ve had these in scotland for a bit now. The fingerprick tests are just awful though. Nearly impossible to get enough blood for a sample and your fingers hurt for a week after. Better than HIV though.
