  1. > Despite a slight pay increase for women since the original 2019 report, it says Wales’ gender pay gap remains 11.3%.

    > The charity will host a series of debates this week to examine how “all women can achieve and prosper”.

    > The report says that women are still less likely to be in work than men, and more women are excluded from the labour market due to the pressures of caring for family members.

Regarding the pay gap, there doesn’t seem to be any mention of the professions women are in vs. those men are in. This puts us right back at the years-old start of the gender pay phenomenon, where articles unironically complained amongst airline staff, female stewardesses and office admin workers weren’t paid as much as male *pilots*.

    Context matters.

As to women being “excluded from the labour market due to the pressures of caring for family members”… is that careful wording of “Have had a child and are finding it difficult to balance raising a child and working?” because again, this is nothing new. Rather than being *excluded*, it could be said they’re excluding themselves by not being able to take up full time work as they also want to care for their family. Again, this is something years old.

  2. So women work less and as such earn less

Am I missing something here or is this another article that’s meant to make men hate themselves and women hate men
