  1. It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of [concerns over privacy and the Open Web](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmputatorBot/comments/ehrq3z/why_did_i_build_amputatorbot).

Maybe check out **the canonical page** instead: **[https://www.20min.ch/story/wer-soll-diese-neue-gemeinde-tageskarten-kaufen-706483909774](https://www.20min.ch/story/wer-soll-diese-neue-gemeinde-tageskarten-kaufen-706483909774)**

  2. I hate both of those things. Gemeidetageskarten are a great idea and my wife and I use them often. The cameras to track people in train stations to monitor business use feels like a dystopian violation of privacy. The camera idea is so onerous that I am astonished that this concept ever made it from some moron’s frontal cortex into an actual plan.

  3. Don’t worry, the Software and Hardware are probably from Huawei and therefore thoroughly tested in Xianjiang and other provinces during Covid. Also the Data will be saved on Huawei Storage Devices and transported via Huawei Wireless Networks. I see absolutly no risk. /s

Btw. Huawei. Pretty much all Insurance Companies in Switzerland user their Hardware to store Data. Especially Sympany and Helsana. Just saying.

  4. I’m actually not too concerned about the camera thing.

Knowing how they do with new technologies (look for example at the tilting technology of the Twindexx) there’s a very high chance that it’ll never work as well or even at all as they say now.

Also, I think they got a lot of pressure now to improve data privacy.

  5. Can’t wait for the new 1st class Tageskarten. Looking forward to it.

Not sure what to think about the cameras. I just hope they use the data responsibly. Time will tell

  6. One more step towards total control.

It’s all about money. It always was.

Soon you will need written permission from the overlords to go outside your property on a weekend. And it will be sold to you as protection of your rights.

Probably should throw in some Russia scaremongwring. But you are all already sufficiently scared of putin invading your bedroom.

  7. Wasn’t facial recognition only allowed by humans? iirc I’ve read an article about how Winterthur police hired some experts to recognize faces because Software recognition is not allowed by law

  8. Fuck that. Defund them. They are service public and they should not be allowed to collect data about people for any other reason than if it’s necessary for their operation and given at free will (like for an abonnement).

I hope this is an early aprils fools joke.

  9. China is not so bad after all regarding protection of privacy it seems.

Why do we care about Russian oligarchs money when we hush away an entire construction cartel and punish whistleblowers?

  10. Zum glück bi i mehrheitlich mit em Velo unterwegs.

D SBB isch e absolute shit-lade ! Ständig Problem, aber für sone shit het me Geld !

  11. The level of conspiracy theories on /Switzerland is amazing.

You’ve got something to hide or you’re the neinsager type of guys?

If the data isn’t used against you without a legal reason, where’s the problem? You’re using Reddit (and other social medias) and probably all use credit cards, insurance cards etc…

Just you know, with a card number I could know who you are, where you’ve last purchased something and what are your habits. The worst would be to have connected stuff at home 🤣

All your data is already tracked…

Oh and about the Communal tickets, they’re not getting rid of them… SBB already said they’re going to change how it works but you’ll still be able to get some.

  12. The cameras are not using facial recognition. This is a prime example of biased media (ktipp in this case) making up facts to push sensationalism.

The camera system being looked at only recognizes an entity as a whole while the move about the premises of a train station. It will look for a pattern (red jacket, blue pants) and try to follow that pattern across multiple cameras to deduct the movement. The system is good but as soon as two people with very similar clothing move about, it reaches it’s limits.

If you show up tomorrow in different clothing the system will not know that you were there yesterday.

  13. Cameras: very scary. You can bet any amount that the data won’t be secure enough to avoid any misuse or leak. It’s just a matter of time.

Edit: how is this even legal?

  14. As people here always say: if it helps SBB earn money, we will see reduced ticket prices! Trickle-down economics. /s/s/s/s

  15. Let’s not forget that they are a real estate company that makes their main income from buying cheap industrial property and turning it into luxury appartments/offices. This makes total sense for them and they will only keep going into this direction.

  16. The Communal Day Tickets is not abolished. It’s just changing: online availability, not tied to residency anymore, different prices for 1/2 Price or 1/1 Price. So it’s not all bad!
