Sister recently came home from Midwest usa on holiday, and couldn’t get over the amount of people out shopping mid week in shopping centres and out in pubs restaurants etc, said compared to usa looks like a lot have disposable income, granted it was a quick visit but it put some outside prospective on it. Now I know usa most are online shopping etc but mid week the malls and main streets in town are dead.

  3. No sh*t Sherlock, this situation has been visible from miles away to not see it coming. And when you discuss it with friends/colleagues in advance… that this would happen, they call you being too negative.

  4. Could be because a lot of rentals cost more than a mortgage but maybe I’m just imagining things.

    Edit: whoops stumbled in from r/all hehe, not actually Irish but things aint so different in Canada rn either. Literally living on a $700 a month EIA cheque cuz my night seizure havin’ ass cant get a job in town on account of being unable to drive :/ hoping to find something online at least

  6. maxed out the credit card and overdraft to pay the gas and electricity bills this month, Now going though the coin jar to see if I can eat today, but no clue what to do until next month’s paycheck.
