Spotted on my way home

  1. I’m sure people who ignore regular speed limits signs will change their ways when faced with a snarky passive aggressive bigger sign

  2. There used to be one like this in Denderhoutem but it seems to be removed.

I get it, it’s a dangerous one-way street and there’s a school. 30 is already the norm. Yet I feel this would provoke “wegpiraten” to be even more of a douchbag.

The sign itself can’t be cheap either…

  3. I unironically like this. Zone 30 signs really don’t have great visibility. I think the fact that it looks different from all the other zone signs makes them *less* visible for me. If they just changed it to a round shape that would be great.

  4. Things I hate:

    – People who speed
    – Streets that aren’t designed for the speed you should be driving

  5. Zeker groot genoeg maar wettelijk niet in orde. Een verkeersbord dat je langs links van de weg staat in de rijrichting zoals hier is niet geldig

  6. They used to have a few of these signs in ly neighborhood but printed on a canvasin a steel frame so they could move them around more easily.
After about two weeks some dixk took a knife to it and cut out the 30-sign.

Imagine not only being an asshole who ignores speed limits, but also being so offended by this that you have to destroy the sign

  7. I hate these passive aggressive signs. I generally follow the speed limit and I don’t mind a clear big reminder in case I missed the official sign. But the ones with this passive aggressive texts, makes me WANT to speed, just out of principle because I feel utterly disrespected.

Even worse is if the passive aggressive sign stand in front of the actual official sign. ‘No you’re wong, it’s not 50 now, it’s 50 in 30 meters’ Definitely if from certain angles or distance, the passive aggressive sign is (partially) covering up your view of the official sign.

  8. I went on a run this morning, as I usually do. The entirety of my run is in a Zone 30.

NOT. A. SINGLE. FUCKING. CAR. is driving 30. Not one. And then people wonder they’re putting trajectory control everywhere. We don’t nearly have enough of those.

  9. My city plopped one in 1 of the 2 handicapped parking spots.

It blew over by the wind and then took all 2 handicapped parking spots.

    Are they having a laugh?
