  1. Feels terrible, makes me very sad for the people there…

Isn’t this even stronger than the last ones? Weren’t they between 4-5?

  2. I can’t imagine living in a country like this. I wonder why the rest of Turkey’s population is not fleeing the country.

Edit: I know it’s not possible to flee to the millions. It was more rhetorical than serious.

  3. It was 6.4 and just after a few minutes another 5.8 hit very hard. Buildings collapsed and rocks fall down from hills to the towns. This is an apocalypse at the moment here.

  4. Poseidon is angry to us.

BTW I am waiting earthquake in terrified state in Istanbul which can happen any time.

  5. 20:04 – 6.4 (Defne / Hatay)
    20:07 – 5.8 (Samandağ / Hatay)
    20:13 – 3.9 (Samandağ / Hatay)
    20:14 – 4.5 (Samandağ / Hatay)
These are the earthquakes happened in just 10 minutes.

  6. Deja vu anyone? I sincerely hope everyone in Turkiye, Syria and the surrounding regions remain safe!

  7. Aftershocks of such magnitude are to be expected after a 7.5/7.7.. the fact that it’s causing more ruin is even more tragic.

  8. In the 5 years that started with the 1939 Erzincan earthquake in Turkey, it had entered into a catastrophic ring of earthquakes. These earthquakes took place on the North Anatolian fault line. It is thought to remain silent for a long time after several extra-large earthquakes hit the North Anatolian Fault line. One of these earthquakes is the Great Istanbul earthquake. The East Anatolian fault line, where these new earthquakes occurred, were fault lines that did not produce major earthquakes for a long time. A new earthquake chain may have started. However, the expectation of a major earthquake will not be for a long time, except for the Hatay region, where the Dead sea fault line is present, the Çukurova region around the city of Adana, and the region called the Yedisu fault further north. But there are also big earthquake expectations in these regions. It is very difficult to say anything about the Aegean region. Because this is one of the places that produce the most earthquakes in the world and there are fault lines everywhere. I hope the fault line under Crete will not break. If it breaks, it has the potential to produce a 9.0 earthquake. It is considered as the Wave-Subduction zone. Just like the big earthquakes in the pacific, but its depth may be less. It may fuck Turkey, Greece and Cyprus. It is the only fault line that will create a tsunami in the Mediterranean. .

  9. I feel so terrible for them. They’re already dealing with one of the worst natural disasters, and now it’s hit again? Absolutely horrible.
