I have little patience with artists having hissy fits over bad reviews. As the article goes on to explain, Berger conceded that the movie had been well-received by German audiences (which is what counts), and then revealed that he never reads reviews anyway.
“Whenever you try something a little bit different than the norm, they get worried.”
Well, the quited critics in the article aren’t worried you did something different. They are critical of you taking something unique and treating it with the Hollywood Blockbuster norm.
The movie was okay in my opinion. A passable warmovie.
