Romania becomes Ukraine’s main fuel supplier

  1. I can’t believe the RU propaganda started to make inroads into Romania. Look guys, Ukraine was never a bad neighbour, they were just that – neighbours. First of all, it’s common that neighbours have grievances towards one another, get over it. Second…. what did Ukraine ever do to us? I can think of 2 things:

    a. The whole Snake Island deal: it would’ve been irresponsible of them to not try, frankly. Wanna take a look at e.g. Slovenia-Croatia disputes on territorial waters? Look, we won, they respected the ruling AFAIK, just get over it.

    b. Treating of RO minorities: Maybe they weren’t great in the past, but they’re squarely in the pro-EU camp, and you *know* that they’ll fix any issues here, right? It’s not like we didn’t have bunch of people moaning about bilingual plates in places with Magyar minorities and stuff like that… EU made us comply and we’re probably in a better place for it. Look to the future not the past on this issue, srsly.

what else? what did they ever do to us? (as Ukraine, not as part of the USSR, I mean – because I think it’s clear that nowadays Ukraine is trying to move as far away as possible from the USSR Ukraine).

  2. This is the first time i hear about the Danube problem problem but the comments make it seem like its been an issue between Romania and Ukraine for ages. What is exactly is Ukraine doing to it? Why doesnt your government request us to stop whatever it is?

  3. I really hope the Bîstroe channel thing is not true because if it is, it’s pretty serious! Romania has helped Ukraine a lot since the war started, most of their exports like grains pass through Romanian ports, plus we’ve been sending a lot of ammunition but it’s being kept secret.
