And suddenly, half the country will turn into aviation experts again
Funny how half the world uses them already and „the best army in the world“ considers buying some in the future (maybe).

Well, article’s pretty much just « Yep, we plan to update 1/3 of the army by the end of the decade »
They’re looking into drones, which makes sense. We don’t know how good they’ll be by 2030 anyway, and they’ve shown their effectiveness in Ukraine.
As for the question of modernising our army or not, well, that’s the never ending debate of how much do we want to fund the army, how good we want it to be, and if it has any meaning to keep it.
Either we fund our army properly, or we keep an underfunded one and our soldiers become cannon fodder and assume it if it is ever needed, or we have no army at all and the first country to attack us is first served.
How can anybody say no to flying death robots?
And magically, in a heartbeat, everyone in the political scene is a military drone expert, just like everyone was a fighter jet expert when we voted on it.
As someone in the army right now, all I can say is its a big circus anyway. The most hobbylos way I have ever spent my time.
Well as we are about to waste money for useless shit how about swiss nukes.
While they’re at it, they should also update the ristl equipment. A 30kg antenna which depends on a 50kg lead acid battery and only sends 8mbit/s is just not state of the art anymore 😅
