Should be made to serve thee full term or judges should be made to state the term of the sentence instead of these people only serving half of it…
The headline doesn’t quite convey the fact that it is incredibly standard for people to serve half their sentences. It is not unusual to this particular case but business as usual.
Must be pointed out that this is absolutely normal, and he’s not getting special treatment here. For the vast majority of crimes you serve half your time in prison, half on license. I seriously doubt this is going to change either given how overcrowded the prisons are.
I know it’s time to pile on the posh people. But it seems the ones who go into prison are always pretty well behaved and get out quickly. I remember another MP Jonathan Aitken who apparently did good things in jail as well.
Half his sentence? How long did he get? A year? Feels like it was just back in summer all this went off.
How long until the Tories let him run for office do you reckon?

He’ll be reselected for a Tory seat by the next election. Or maybe just bunged a barony. Rules will be changed to make it happen as necessary.
Why does Scotland and England elect so many beasts?
Send him back in, bastard needs to serve his sentence plus confiscate most of his wealth if not all. It still wouldn’t be enough
