Previously the loss of jobs in the tech industry was all in the likes of HR and Sales. Interesting that here we have job losses in tech and engineering
This is more than likely part of the 12,000 layoffs already announced but due to laws here they haven’t been able to confirm the numbers affected in Ireland until all those requirements have been met. It’s still shite for those affected
it’s always sad people losing their jobs but these lads/ladettes are grand. on 6 figures and probably a big severance.
any engineer that can pass the google leetcode tests is a-ok
Tech companies need to start getting taxed the shit off, mass lay-off should be met with the removal of taxing benefits
Guess it wasn’t quite enough tax-havening for them.
