‘Our staff have been egged and beaten’: Ballyfermot locals ‘fed up’ and ‘frustrated’ by latest violence

  1. Surely someone can come up with a hashtag or something that will get the ball rolling #enoughisenough. #justice4scrotes. #justactuallyfuckindosomething.

  2. >Leaving Mass at the church near the roundabout, Jimmy (60) had one regret about the latest incident.

    >“I don’t want to comment other than to say the daffodils on the roundabout have been absolutely obliterated,” he said.

Won’t somebody think of the daffodils?

  3. We’re have all the protesters who were so concerned for the safety of women and children from potentially dangerous military aged men gone?

  4. If locals reported crimes to gardai, gave witness statements, and spoke in court about their local scumbags, things would be different.

But no, gardai could knock on every house over looking what happened the last day, and not one would have seen anything.

  5. The harshness advocated by the locals was interesting to see, as certain politicians and activists always act like the Gardai are evil fascists who the working class hate.

I’m not in favour of armed Gardai or sending scrotes to boot camp myself but a fair few politicians who claim to represent the working class (but are from upper middle class backgrounds themselves) seem very out of kilter with the locals here.

  6. if only there was more playgrounds built…at least then they could spend their time burning them down and leave the locals alone

  7. Sounds like “military aged growing men” is exactly what this country needs if guards cannot fix this.

  8. Would a little bit of compulsory military service be something that could help, if we had that in this country?

  9. For the people complaining about locals not standing up, filing garda reports, etc, let me explain.

I’ve lived here in pretty much the centre of ballyfermot all my life. My partner lived in Cherry Orchard too, so I spent my last 10 years between 2 homes in this area.

Standing up for yourself is not an option. If you stand up for yourself, they either come for your home, family, or you when there’s nothing you can do about it. I’ve had exactly 1 run in witha group of scumbags that I actually fought back/ stood up for myself, and the response was that my mother’s house had bricks thrown through the window. Because they started on me, I defended myself and knocked one of them out they went for my mother’s home. Next time I saw the person I had to act/say things only a lunatic would say to make sure he never went near my family again. Now, if he went to the police I would 100% be arrested for the threats I made.

Similarly, I have gone to the police to report a neighbour causing issues and clearly dealing drugs…. the response was “were aware of them and doing all we can.” And they were the guards were there every so often, raided the house, etc, but once the scumbags go to the courts, there basically let go. I, like most people here in ballyer, don’t think it’s the gardas fault…..its the courts who let these people go again and again.

I don’t blame a garda for not wanting to risk their life dealing with scum knowing that even if they do make an arrest, the scum is most likely going to get a suspended sentence.

There’s a growing number of people that are looking for more extreme solutions and will be attracted to politicians who are in favour of more extreme solutions, and honestly, I’m one of them…… if a politician came out tomorrow today and said they were going to try to set up something similar to a purge, I just let the police do whatever for a night. Honestly, I’d be all for it. Scum don’t fear anything today, only more unhinged scum.

  10. I’m so glad I live the other side of the country in the middle of nowhere so I don’t have to deal with this type of stuff
