Some of you are so hostile. In the capitol region it was about -15c past few days and it took a day to get used to it since it’s been so warm for almost two months.
I dont know why all these commenters are so serious. Im sure you didnt post this for advice on how to stay warmer. I hope you have fun here in Finland! Next week should be warmer 😉

Went to ice fishing yesterday 😁 The mid day was actually very warm on the contrary, it rised from -20 to -10 and you could feel the warmth from the sun. Excellent day.

I don’t think you realize how culturally offensive the lack of a beanie is. Not wearing a hat during the winter will get you slapped by mom **and** grandma. There are not many things that will get you double slapped.

Hope you enjoyed dog sledding! When I was there I found a very ethical company that treats the dogs well.
Oh bless your heart. Covering your mouth and nose but not your head and complaining about the cold looks pretty much as ridiculous as you would look wearing that gear in the North Carolina heat and complaining about being sweaty.

Ah typical American from the movies: you are supposed to have warm headwear. Head has a lot of blood vessels that contribute to heat loss. Even your hair is frozen 😀

Babe, it’s -10 celsius degrees out there. Wear a hat. Wearing your scarf like that is just having a wet rag on your face in the freezing cold, you’ll get a rash.
Looking at this picture i fear thats how i will look this Saturday morning sitting on a sled in freezing cold temps.

This is why US army sends troops for artic training in Finland. We drill some sense into them, such as always wearing a hat when it’s that cold.
Also applies for tourists, I don’t want to be in SAR group searching some damn fool who got delirious by freezing his head!
