  1. Of course people are eating out less. They need to the money to pay bills because the energy companies need to keep making Billions of profits each quarter.

  2. People are poor as fuck and can barely afford to live. Stay tuned to see which industry the millennials are going to kill off next.

  3. I mean, yeah, went for a meal to wagamamas the other week and a main, glass of coke each and a selection of sides came to £160! Unfeasible to dine out regularly or at all for many at this point. I certainly won’t be asking people to fork out for a meal for my birthday this year because of it.

  4. This is fucking news?

Wait till they see the stats on how many parents are eating LESS frequently at home…

  5. The right wing media: ‘Stop eating out and you will be able to afford a deposit on a house’

Millennials and Gen-Z: ‘OK, we can do that’

The right wing media: ‘Thanks Millennials and Gen-Z, you’re crashing the economy’

  6. Not sure from the title if this is talking about fewer oral pleasures or breakfasts with blueberry pancakes?

“My husband just went out and told me to get my own breakfast..and he didn’t even come home with a chopper motorcycle”

  7. I’m probably eating out roughly the same, but i’m getting takeaways less; or I’m picking different take aways.

My local decent chinese and kebab shops have both put prices up like crazy. They aren’t great, but they’re not bad for food. However, I’m not going to spend £30 for a really basic chinese takeaway for 2, or £22 for 2 basic kebabs .. so instead, I’m driving further to go to places that are actually better, and still spending £20-30-ish.. but at least I feel like I’m getting something worth it.

Fortunate to not be short on cash, but I still won’t blow money on stuff that doesn’t seem worth it.
