Report warns Dublin City Council against resuming bin collections

  1. I’m OK with the model where a private company does the work but they are contracted to the council (instead of to the public). Doesn’t seem to be a legal problem with that.

  2. Privatisation is an utter failure every time it’s tried. One of the most heinous acts against our country since independence has been the forced asset stripping by the EU and Troika. Forced to sell the lotto, a literal money printer, to a Canadian pension fund so old farts on a different continent can reap the benefits. Forced to hand over public services to shitty private companies who do a worse job for more money. It’s a joke.

  3. .. in small print at the bottom: Paid for by the bin collectors anonymous coalition for brown envelope distribution and hot chicken rolls.
