  1. Absolutely disgraceful; If either of these people had applied for other social protections as a cohabiting couple they would have been jointly assessed, but now reap no benefit.

    The notion of marriage is changing for many, and it’s not for every couple for a variety of reasons. Nobody should be punished for choosing not to get married.

  2. I can’t see this succeeding. The law is clear on this. Not everyone wants to get married but do so protect their children and spouse in case anything like this was to happen.
