  1. 4 years ago got the same sticker, removed it and drove to the mechanic to get it fixed. Back 2 weeks later for the retest.

  2. It’s hysterical bullshit – happened to my missus – nct guy shouting at her for drive a dangerous car – one tyre was at 1.7mm – utter bullshit

  3. I ain’t no mechanic but I think it was the magerine left in the sun that did you in the with failed dangerous category.

  4. I got that in my last nct. Guy handed over the keys and said just a few small things. And then I notice the sticker. Nearly lost my life thinking the car had to be scrapped. But just had a bald tyre that I got replaced on the way home

  5. Nope. I got one a couple years back.

My brother asked me to nct his car while he was out of the country. Ended up getting this on the window and advised to get it towed home. Chanced my arm because I’d no alternative. But bricking it the whole way home.

  6. Jaysus, do people not check their tyres? many comments here of people driving on bald tyres shocked that they get called on having bald tyres. They’re the thing keeping you on the road.

  7. I was doing my nct last year and I heard the man working there tell a customer his car was a death trap and the steering rack was loose and the car needed repairs and not to drive it, I saw that guy drive off in his car 🤦😒

  8. No, not new as I got that myslef a few years ago lol. It was a legit failed dangerously in my case. Whatever test they do to the brakes made them stop working altogether straight away, so basically my car was a rusted ticking death bomb. Driving around before the NCT there was no indication that there was anything wrong and we got the car serviced for the NCT days before so who knows what the mechanic actaully did to the car, if they did anything that is.
