Hi, I have the same bottle in my fridge. I opened it ~10 weeks ago and still drink it lol
No information on the bottle about shelf life. It says however it’s ⅔ honey. That, in addition with ethanol, should make the shelf life quite long.
It won’t spoil for years, especially if kept in low temperature (less than 20C ideally, in dry and shadowed place).
Honey has antimicrobial activity, plus it is preserved by alcohol and high proportion of sugar. Very long shelf life, unless you put it in metal container (then some nasty reactions may start). There are stories about still good mead found in ancient tombs and ship wreckage.
I make mead sometimes.
I dont consider it having a shelf life. Its said that if a wine is over 14% it can stand as long as you want to age it (if closed). So dont forget about closing a bottle after drinking.
Also if its real półtorak, it should be too sweet for most microbes to live in.
So if you put it in cold, shaded place, while its closed from air, it should be good for a long time.

Also i cant see anything about a shelf life after opening on that bottle.
Bruh, just drink it, it’s good.
But mead doesn’t spoil fast, unless you drink ot straight from the bottle.
Offtopic but do you enjoy it?
I’m sure you won’t give it a chance to spoil
I had this one opened for at least two years now and it’s still good.
It’s long lived, keep it closed in fridge and it can go for at least a year. Means don’t oxidisr the same way wines do.
Mead can last decades. Just make sure you don’t drink it straight from the bottle, don’t put it directly under the sun, and it can be fine for generations (although it might lose alcohol % over years). Source: I used to be a beekeeper.
Try. If it did not kill you, it was OK.
You can drink opened mead for years unless mold or infection gets into it.
Long life on shelf. But… My father has over 50 botels (full, he colecting them, to drink then on retirment). But after +15 years, few of the botles was empty, we belive that caps some how “shrink” and jhinni pop out
When I open mead I just keep it on a shelf in a room. Never had any problems even if it was there for moths.
Thats Polish mead. You can propably keep it for months if not years. That one is legit so it shouldnt spoil unless you contaminate it.
As others said it shouldn’t go bad, especially refrigerated, but taste could be a bit different even if you reseal the bottle due to evaporation and oxidizing.
Just curious, if you haven’t touched it for a year, what changed now?
In Poland you don’t need to put shelf life on anything above 7% or something like that. If this have 16% im guessing it won’t spoil for very long time, but I don’t know if there is any poit in letting it “rest” like with wine ore some beers
Check bottle cap for exp date
in the worst scenario you will go to the toilet.. dont waste that chance and try it out! good luck, 16%!!
It’s honey and alcohol so it’s infinite…
Dude, it will live for ever. I love this one BTW. One of the best I have ever had.
I got few bottles opened in bar just on shelf for 2 and more years. After that time it loose some taste and appear some honey sediment at bottom of bottle – but it’s good sign that honey used to produce is natural.
Keep it from hot temperatures, sun light and make sure that cork/cup is tight, to prevent fresh air from getting into (to prevent oxidation). It will be enough for this bottle.
It’s delicious!
1 or 2 days… I wouldn’t stand looking at it on the shelf…
