I hate the guy but i dont think speech should be punishable. Even if its stupid. In this case it might seem justified but for example here om reddit free speech gets limited all the time for downright ridiculous reasons. In many cases underdocumented issues are being barred from being discussed and the guise of ‘hatespeech’ is throw around very lightly on this website.
I find it very scary if belgium were to follow the American example more as i feel that the line between protecting people and full on censorship is crossed very often on sites like reddit.
Step 1: write down horrible shit on the internet
Step 2: become famous when someone investigates your horrible shit on the internet
Step 3: get elected because of step 1 and 2
Step 4: face consequences of step 1

This is in response to all toxic replies which support negationism: freedom of speech was implemented to protect press and individuals to critisize the ruling elite against the ruling elite itself. It’s not a free pass to spout nonsense or anti-fundamental right demands.
