Bummer: Kyrian (19) gets to vote for first time in 2024, but every party is shit

  1. I would be curious to see how many blank votes for the next elections. And before people say “You should vote, otherwise things will never change”, I would like to point out that blank vote can either mean “I don’t care”, which is bad, but it can also mean “None of the options appeal to me” which is a real concern in today’s politics.

  2. I stopped even showing up for voting a while ago. Fuck them. Not worth my time.
The obligatory voting system sucks ass anyways if nothing good ever happens.

  5. Nothing the ruling class likes more than disillusioned and apathetic voters. Politics affect everyone, one owes it to themselves to become engaged/educated.

  6. No parties nor political personality is perfect and will never 100% match your ideas (unless you’re a sheep how is told what to think)

It’s cynical but politics is about choosing the least worst, not your life partner.

  7. We’re living in a particracy which is flawed imo. If we want a better democratic system I would go for voting on individuals, not on party- lists. Maybe even introduce a vote for and against an individual. Prohibit politicians from forming an official party. Only form a group of likeminded on case- basis.
