Quite honestly? Not really. Our economy is still a fraction of the big boys. We wull have some new tanks and toys, but it’s going to be decades (without PiS preferably) until Poland is anywhere near a power status.
Simple answer? Yes.
Longer answer – not really, for more info watch corresponding Perun’s video
Let’s see:
1. a highly educated labor force (Polish students among the best world wide) + 2) according to Eurostat one of the safest nations in Europe when it comes to murder, rape, assault and robbery crimes + 3) a very competetive geographical spot for trade + 4) stable institutions + 5) a rather big consumer market (39 million) + 6) a homogenous society –> Social peace is guaranteed + 7) nation debt to GDP per capita relation among the lowest in Europe etc.
It’s no wonder that banks and rating agencies are giving Poland a very optimistic forecast. The FDI rate is among the highest world wide and big companies choose Poland over, say, Germany, France or England (Google, NVIDIA, Microsoft).
Anyway, it was an interesting video regardless, although nothing new was discussed for me. Thanks for sharing, though.
It depends. Poland has a lot of potential but some things need to be mended first. History shows that only democracies that can self correct end up victorious and strong. Even though Poland has been combating corruption for decades, the current gov reintroduced it and destroyed years of hard work.
Russia, Turkey, China show us that corrupted systems fail in time of crisis. So short answer is no, the long one – yes, if Poland elevates itself into self correcting mature democracy.
Superpower no. Regional leader and power yes. Poland is key to coordinating central eastern European countries around resisting Russian neo imperialism.
I remember Poland was defined as a central European country?
