    He did say that he changed afterwards and this might have to do with his διπλωματική. According to Drushotis he supported how Vasileio handled the Cyprob(solution oriented) vs Kyprianou

  5. I’m a Greek Cypriot who has lived in the exteriko my whole life so excuse my ignorance if this is very well known or obvious. Is the Byzantine flag associated with the far right and fascism in Greece and Cyprus? And do they refer to the red flag with gold cross? Or is it the yellow flag with double headed eagle which also hangs outside all churches?

  6. I was part of a far right student body too. It helped me get elected in the departments council and actually help my fellow students. I didn’t agree with their politics, but I used their platform to get elected and actually do something.

    Do I regret it? No.
    Did/do I agree with politics and opinions? No, except the part that political parties should not have student bodies.
    Am I far right? No.

  11. 1) How does having a Byzantine flag make you a fascist?
    2) How does the belief that Cyprus would be better off being Greek territory ( back then, not anymore ) make you a fascist?

    3) You do realize that Cyprus has no power outside of Diplomacy to defend our sovereignty against invaders right? ENOSIS was a very common sense move back then. infact 9 out of 10 Cypriots supported ENOSIS. Was 90% of the population fascist as well?

  22. this is pathetic digging all relatives past just to find something that you think its massive which can characterise a person as fascist to change the public’s opinion days before the election! Lots of wrong decisions and mistakes were made by all of us especially when we were younger.. but I ask everyone in here including OP which one of the candidates would you rather vote for and why taking in account all of the candidates background and error record including this post?!?

  23. And averofs wife got stock in bankrupting companies and few months later those companies closed contracts with the government that took them from closing down to one of the biggest companies in the country. This is a public scandal from 2 years ago not 25.

    And before you ask, yes its illegal thats not how government contracts work
