  1. For context, [THREE YEARS AGO](https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/may/07/youth-club-closures-young-people-risk-violence-mps), the situation was that

    > Youth club closures are putting young people at greater risk of violence, according to a committee of MPs which has found that English councils have slashed funding on youth services by 40% on average in the last three years.

Its easy to demonise youngsters, but it wasn’t them that fucked everything up and systematically dismantled the infrastructure of a progressive and compassionate society.

Oh, and it’s far from a hot take to blame youngsters – here is a [2,500yr history](https://historyhustle.com/2500-years-of-people-complaining-about-the-younger-generation/) of people doing exactly that.

  2. The most prevalent form of antisocial behaviour at the minute is people letting their dogs shit on the pavement and not picking it up. I wish they’d use Asbos to clamp down on it.

  3. Shit back in my day getting an asbo was a badge of honour.

Investing in early education and after school activities, having good community role models etc.

  4. I love that they’ve used an image of teenagers doing absolutely nothing wrong. Also looks to be about 10 or 15 years out of date.
