Orban demands that Sweden and Finland stop criticising his regime if they expect to join Nato soon

  1. I wonder how much time people need to understand that appeasing dictators is a road to nowhere because it only encourage them to issuing more demands

  2. This piece of shit doesn’t belong in any kind, shape or form of democratic union, i hope we grow some spine soon and show him where he can stick his bullshit since Hungary people wont or cant …

  3. Shows just how insecure this piece of shit is when he demands that no-one is allowed to ever say anything against him / critical of him or he will try to bully them into silence.

“Wah wah everyone must only praise me or I’ll ban everyone”

  4. This is where an uncontrolled veto system leads: any clown can abuse it, with no reasons and no consequences.

  5. NATO look like a worse and worse idea if you have to share it with such clowns. Erdogan is another one.

    Probably time for something new.

  6. I can imagine Orban being like “sht, I need an excuse to block these two from NATO… … Ah, got it! **They should stop criticising my regime!** “

  7. It’s not a good look for the western defense alliance to require dictatorship appeasement and blasphemy laws to join.

  8. There’s no rush for either Sweden or Finland ascending to NATO proper. (Actual) Security guarantees are in place and they already participate in NATO exercises as is. This would simply be a formality and would legally bind them to every NATO Article (including the ever-elusive Art. 5) to not only benefit from themselves in such an event but also be legally obligated to come to another’s defence…

For this reason I don’t see why Turkey/Hungary is even stalling for lol. On the one hand, if Hungary does a 180, leaves NATO (one could hope but it would also be bad) and effectively forms a bridge of Russian influence from Belarus – congratulations. On one side you are surrounded NATO states and on the other you have Ukraine which is an ally. Strategically Hungary would/should be known as no-man’s land.

All this… because old men suddenly have an issue with their egos and want to consolidate power for as long as they can… 🤦

  9. For crying out loud everyone in the EU is criticizing your regime.

The European Commission is criticizing your regime on a weekly basis.

  10. HIS regime? Now that’s an arrogant statement if I ever saw one. It’s not like he ever was anything more than a porcelain figure

  11. Sure Orbán, whatever you like! You are the most democratic leader in the world!

Keep up you anti-LGBT policies, your nationalistic views, your opposition to immigration. Keep up your pursuing of anti-democratic reforms, keep attacking human rights, keep reducing the independence of Hungary’s press, judiciary and central bank, keep up the nepotism. Keep up your nazi rhetoric, keep sayin that “we do not want to become peoples of mixed-race”. Just impeccable, you and your regime. And keep being cozy with your lover putin.

Nothing else while we are on the topic? No combat aircrafts, like your buddy Erdogan?

From the people of Sweden – to you: F**k you! Or baszd meg if your English is lacking.

  12. Gotta be honest, the rules set in place in NATO are fucking terrible. The fact that these two clown governments, Hungary and Turkey, can halt a membership for personal and political gain is fucking mental. Especially considering the circumstances. In a time when we needed solidarity the most, Hungary and Turkey makes us all look like fucking idiots.

  13. There was a time when Finns regarded their distant southern cousins with particular fondness. How things change.

  14. 1. Stop criticizing Orban

    2. Get into NATO

    3. Start criticizing Orban again

    4. ?????

    5. PROFIT!!!!!

For real though, fuck this guy. If it takes to appease a dictator wanna be, and given that Russia’s not even a real military threat as it turns out, it may as well be not worth it.mmmm maybe like okay to wait a few years until both Orban and Erdogan are out

  15. NATO looks more and more ridicolous every day when the organization is hampered by people like this. I would think it is long overdue with creating a new alliance with better and proper rules. Russian stooges will stooge.

  16. Maybe the other nato members can take over temporarily and call this pig out twice as loud
