This looks a lot like the first Belgian nuclear reactor BR1, that reached first crit in 1956. So this one is probably an identical graphite – air cooled one as well.

Yeah, the br3 is kind of a lab for dismantling in Belgium. I visited BR1 and BR2. BR2 is pretty awesome.
