I can tell you why there are so many people lacking. Bad working conditions. As long as these do not improve there *will* be forever be a lack of personel.
It’s the same for most of those jobs, which is why we have a huge lack of skilled workers in those sectors.
Just pay them properly, other people in the IT sector or Bank Sector here in Luxembourg makes thousands of euros each month, meanwhile those people are getting like 3k before tax.
We need the ones mentioned above too ofc, but it would be a lot smarter to harmonize to salaries a bit more.
There is literally no reason why the average IT guy should get paid 4 times as much – exaggerated – as some electrician for example.
Both are very important, lots of electricians work for CFL for example, if they would just quit, public transportation wouldn’t work anymore.
Yet their job doesn’t receive the same value, no wonder that so many people don’t want to do those jobs.
