  1. Left Alliance had a tigh vote 8-yes, 6-no and 2-did not vote.

    The seventh no was a Putin-loving, bible-humping far right nutcase, who was thrown out from the furthermost rightwing party.

  2. I still dont get this Russian arguments of Nato shouldn’t expand at our borders. NATO is in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia for years.

  3. Important context: Parliamentary elections are coming in the Spring, and the subsequent government negotiations are expected to be complicated. The parliament wanted to give the approval at this stage, even though the ratification process is incomplete. This enables the president and interim government to sign the final ratification even if no actual government exists. This is to pre-empt the eventuality shit hits the fan (perkelöityy in Finnish) when we are without an elected government.

  4. I hope that you will soon be members. It is good that it was voted now because the sentimentbtowards joining may cool down a bit after the temper tantrums thrown by the Putin’s lackey and Erdogan.
