>Aleksey Moskalev, the father of a schoolgirl from the town of Efremov, Tula Region, who drew an anti-war drawing at an art lesson, is now in a temporary detention center, the BBC was told in OVD-Info (recognized as a “foreign agent” in Russia). According to the publication, daughter Masha, whom Aleksey Moskalev is raising alone, was sent to an orphanage.
>
>OVD-info told the BBC that Alexei Moskalev is now in a temporary detention facility. By law, the maximum period of detention in a temporary detention facility is up to 48 hours. This means that further Moskalev should either be released or charged and sent to the court for a preventive measure.
>
>Moskalev’s lawyer Vladimir Biliyenko also told OVD-info that the main investigative actions would take place tomorrow with his client.
>
>Thirteen-year-old daughter Masha, who is being raised by Aleksey Moskalev alone, was sent to a rehabilitation center – a place where children taken from their families are brought, Elena Agafonova, a volunteer from the Tula Regional People’s Council, told the BBC. According to her, after the father was detained, the police called the commission on juvenile affairs, leaving the girl alone in the apartment.
>
>“We couldn’t take the child to us today, because we are not close relatives, but we will not leave the child and will go to visit. We hope that common sense will prevail, but if there is something there, then no one will leave the child, we will try to arrange custody and think about how to help her,” Elena Agafonova told the BBC.
>
>According to her, “the girl is very good, a well-mannered child, she thinks quite adequately and expresses her thoughts”: “We believe that it is unacceptable when they try to limit children in some way and impose something on them.”
>
>Earlier, a criminal case was initiated against Moskalev on “discrediting the army”, and his apartment was searched.
>
>Last spring, Masha Moskaleva, at that time a sixth grade student, drew an anti-war drawing during an art lesson at school. The drawing depicted the Russian and Ukrainian flags – on one was written “No to war”, on the second – “Glory to Ukraine”. Between the two flags is a woman with a child, on whom rockets are flying from the side of the Russian flag.
>
>The publications “OVD-Info” and “Spektr” told in detail about what happened after the lesson of fine arts.
>
>As Aleksey Moskalev told reporters, the teacher reported the drawing to the principal of the school, who in turn, apparently, called the police. After that, the police and the guardianship service had a conversation with Masha Moskaleva’s father.
>
>“They began to say to me: “See what you are teaching a child! Look what she drew.” I say, “What happened in particular? She opposes war, against bloodshed, what’s wrong with that?” They drew up a protocol, called witnesses – teachers, they signed. We were taken to the car, the students watched from the windows – as if terrorists were being led. We arrived at the police chief, Andrei Aksenov. He lectured me that I was raising a child incorrectly,” Aleksey Moskalev told OVD-Info reporters.
>
>Then a protocol was drawn up against Moskalev under the article on “public actions aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation” (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). By a court decision dated April 25, 2022, Aleksey Moskalev was fined 32,000 rubles for a comment in Odnoklassniki, which the court considered discrediting the Russian army.
>
>The next day after the trial, according to the man, FSB officers came to his daughter’s school, who again had a conversation with him about the correct upbringing of the child, and his daughter was offered to “lead some kind of youth team in support of the Russian troops.”
>
>Threats were made against Moskalev by FSB officers. “They told me that I was raising a child incorrectly: they said they would take her away from me and put me in jail,” Moskalev told OVD-Info.
>
>After that, according to the man, his daughter refused to go to school out of fear that the police would come again.
>
>At the end of December, the security forces came to the Moskalevs’ apartment with a search, during which, according to the man, they seized documents, equipment, as well as money – 125 thousand rubles and 3150 dollars, which Aleksey Moskalev earned at the time when he was an entrepreneur – he was breeding decorative birds .
>
>After the search, Moskalev was taken to the FSB for interrogation, and his daughter was taken to a “social institution.”
>
>On December 27, 2022, a criminal case was opened against Moskalev (part 1 of article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for repeated “discrediting” of the Russian army. The reason for the case was the publication on his page in Odnoklassniki dated July 29, 2022. According to the man, during the interrogation he was “beaten with his head against the wall and the floor,” the OVD-Info edition wrote.
As horrible as this is, people have to get hurt/humiliated/lose their loved ones in order to “wake up” . Russians shouldn’t stand up to putin for Ukrainians sake. Do it for yourselves, for your fathers/brothers/sons sent pointlessly to die, for your children taken away for a drawing…
Insane! Complete insanity! Russia is becoming a huge mental asylum where the patients took control.
Geee i wonder why Russians dont speak up….
I wish all the imbeciles in my country supporting the Russians could get acquainted with how life truly looks like there.
I have to say, I do feel sorry for common people who are normal and probably a minority there, who try to raise their children, and teach them humane values and kindness.
Unfortunately, I know how it looked for my father when he publicly opposed to what was going on in ex-Yugoslavia. MPs were waiting for him every fucking day to take him to Vukovar. God, I hope this poor guy does not end up as a cannon fodder.
It’s always easy to say “they should suffer, in order to wake up and bring the dictator down”. This way of thinking is wrong, and it simply doesn’t work that way. The majority won’t wake up, and those who lost their loved ones in the meat grinder of this war, are probably more prone to develop hatred and support for war to go on, than to realize who the real butcher is. They need their son’s, husband’s, brother’s death to have some noble meaning, some great goal.
Good. That will motivate her to love Russia more….
Yet all Russians do is either flee the country as cowards or play along and support the illegal war. Cowards is what Russians are. A failed state for generations to come.
How insecure are these people
I really hope this story is BS
Help us win this war. Don’t let Nazies occupy our country and our people
I thought it sounded so disgusting that it was hard to believe it was true. But then I remembered what kind of despicable atrocities Russians committed in Ukraine and even in the region they are claiming to protect. So it must be true. I can’t imagine how normal people feel living in the real-life Mordor surrounded by bloodthirsty monsters…
No one hurts more russians than the russians in power. Czars, Soviets, Putler, its all the same.
And this is why we don’t see that many people oppose the war – not the only reason and some people are actually deranged enough to support it but let’s be honest if you exist in a country where this sort of shit happens you’d keep your head down too.

The fuck. This is insane level of evil.
Hey everyone, this is part of the plan the Floriduh governor will follow. If you don’t mind losing your rights, go to Floriduh
What a great country Russians have created! Amazing!
Wretched bastards. Their religion is war
England’s first ambassador to Russia, Giles Fletcher, was sent in 1588 to foster trade. He wrote a book “Of the Russe Commonwealth” which in the very last pages summarizes his impressions of the country and its people.
They refused to learn anything from other nations because they thought they were the best and their Czar and boyars encouraged so they wouldn’t desire change. They cringed in the dust before any superiors “licketh the dust at their feet and is an intolerable tyrant when he hath the advantage”,
“They make no account of the life of a man,,,,I will not speak of the strangeness of the murders committed by them, The number of their vagrant and begging poor is almost infinite. ”
“As for the truth of his word, the Russe for the most part maketh small regard for it. so he may gain by a lie and breache of his promise.” He mentions they would drink in the taverns (All owned by the Czar) until they spent everything they had, including the very clothes they wore and often froze to death drunk and naked in the snow. The descriptions of Ivan and his court amazed him of their violence.

A very interesting book indeed, so much has stayed the same for centuries.
This is really fucked up. Hope Ukraine wins, and Russians topples Putin Regime.
Thats disgusting. I feel really bad for that poor family.
