I don’t know why my previous comment didn’t get more responses Other than a couple of down votes. Are all the people here in patriotic lockstep with our current glorious war. We are going off script, we are supposed to fight wars with small despotic countries with no nuclear weapons. Not one of the biggest nuclear superpowers, and then just take it as red that they will never lob a bomb at Ukraine. Look at Hitler’s V2 rockets when he knew he was losing the war, they stood for vengeance 2. Can you imagine one being let off the radiation drifting across Europe polluting all food and destroying health for decades to come. Or are we stuck in the mode the First World War, where we are certain it will all be over by Christmas?
I actually like Rishi’s response in this, the poor fucker is trapped as the media is clapping like seals for everything Zelensky asks for despite how absolutely catastrophic it’d be for us. Plus you’ve got shit for brains Boris basically bending over and giving Zelensky everything he wants.. “100 Typhoons!!” he says.
Great so we defend ourselves with what.. and that isn’t getting ourselves further involved into the war at all is it giving them 80% of our main frontline fighter (we have 126 operational).
Then what happens if a Typhoon is shot down and the wreckage is recovered by the Russians?What a fabulous prize for them a state of the art fighter with the latest western avionics and weaponry.
Basically Rishi’s hands are tied, if he gives Ukraine our jets he knows we’ve made a catastrophic mistake. If he doesn’t give them jets he’ll be slandered and probably made to retire.
Let’s just send the Ukrainians our older tech. We’re phasing out our Tornado’s and surely we have some older gen tanks still knocking around, take those.
