Had a good chuckle when they bashed Trump already in the first few sentences. I am still waiting for the media outrage for what happens at the southern border under Biden. Or how he and his team handle Covid.
Suddenly, there are no fact checkers anymore. No palace-whispers and books revealing what goes on behind the curtain.
To me, that is what is worrying me. Huge media backlash does not appear arbitrary, but as a tool to push a certain narrative. And then, there is a question how media could ever be free again.
Because one is for sure, with the rise of conglomerates and mega corporations – most media outlets can not afford not to carry specific narratives without losing ad revenue. And if they get funds from the government instead, some corporations may point out that the state itself will push certain agendas.
To me, it looks like something very complex to solve with many wrong answers. Hope politicians will make a good job in untangling this.
So more one-side pro-government propaganda in the press, no thanks
The press once had one job – to hold the powerful and rich to account. They don’t do that anymore – these days its simply going after people not choosing to be vaccinated (I’m pro vax btw, dont worry) or voicing the wrong opinion.

So male readers do not contribute?
“Who fears the free press?” Mostly the overwhelming majority of the press itself, for this would mean the end of a heavily subsidized business that somehow manages to justify thousands of jobs to merely relay Reuters news in 3 langages and produce useless votations polls.
