Some advice: don’t start using these. I’ve probably spent €1000 on them since September. Just buy a normal vape (or better yet; give up nicotine)

  1. It’s amazing how we’re trying to be environmentally friendly and got rid of plastic straws but we have these that are thrown on the street. There’s also batteries in them that are not recycled. Really hope they are fully banned in the future

  2. I have a pile like that lol

I dunno if they will take them in recycling, but I have them set aside just in case for next time head down there.

  3. I know most people just throw these away but Im kind of going to be recycling them and saving them from landfill .

I will use most of the components of a disposable vape, including the metal tubes, plastic ends and of course the battery’s. I can accept any make of vape, once its in good condition and not punctured.

I am in the process of making model aircraft, ships and trains

Im in north Dublin, (Dublin 5) can collect if your near or can accept postage and refund postage costs, Im not making any money from this just going to be using them in various models that Im making.

Im also working on making portable chargers and mini torches from old vapes so once I get stuck in to this I can swap these for old vapes.

If you have a good few I can give you postage address and ill refund the postage costs when received, just a thought anyway, save the environment and all that.

  4. More annoyingly every one contains a perfectly rechargeable or recyclable lithium battery yet they just get thrown away. Such a waste

  5. You get props for having them all and not throwing them on the nice green grass. This suggests to me that you have something about you, a lick of class, a sense of perspective, you know just something. You’re in a contest, you know, and they have all the cards. You don’t employ marketeers and have a whole team, they have all of that shit. Every colour, every flavour, the shape of the tip, that’s all real slimeball carefully considered, market tested, focused “fuck you loser, give me your pennies so I can throw them in the pile” shit. They’re out to get you, you’re the cow, your monies the milk, but you have something Ismaithlionamberleaf, you have the thing. They think they have you, pull you round like a puppet on a string, but there ain’t not strings on you, you refuse to be a puppet on a string, held by all those big shots. They tricked you once, but you have their measure, you’re onto them, oh yes my friend. Don’t be a follower, that’s not you, that’s not you at all. It’s slight of hand, but you’ve seen the coin, you’ll be free, I believe in you.

You’re no one’s cow. You are you. You will win. ‘Cause you have something about you, some little thing they haven’t accounted for. You will be free.

  6. You can harvest the batteries from them instead of dumping them. Great for small electronics projects. I’ve asked one of the shops if I could have one to see if it would work. Cell still sits at 3.5v. If you have a charge controller, they are about 6 quid if you get one in europe, you could either add a connector, usually a JST-PH connector, or solder it directly you can charge them back up again.

  7. They’re an absolute rip off aswell in comparison to a vape that you refill with juice. Like as least 15x more expensive over the long term

  8. There are 1st and 2nd years taking them at an astonishing rate.

Have to give the tobacco companies credit for managing to make their universally rejected and lethal product *appealing* to people by making it nice and colourful.

  9. Smoking old fashioned analogue tobacco is not only environmentally friendlier, but also cheaper

Same. I was practically going through one every day and sometimes more. I actually like them but you’re nearly better off buying a box of Amber Leaf with the cost of them. You can get ten elf bars for €60 on some Irish vape sites but even then the cost of them is hard to ignore. Not to mention the amount of e-waste they produce.

  11. buy an aspire minican they are the closest thing to disposable vapes and you refill them with juices

I have one and its great cost like 17 euros smooth smoke like a a disposable

  12. Some lad was posting about wanting used vapes for a project he was working on. Did you see it by chance ?

  13. These types of photos just make me so sad to look at, these things are so so bad for the environment. I hate them

  14. Thought these were some sort of marker or highlighter when I first saw the picture and was confused why you spent €1000 on them

  15. Vaporised vegetable oil infused with nicotine and sweeteners? What’s not to like? If you suck one of these things you’re going to suffer for your stupidity when 10-15 years from now your lungs are no longer capable of extracting oxygen from the air you breathe because they are coated with a thin film of grease and you suffocate to death slowly and inexorably.

  16. I wish I’d never started using disposables, they’re so fucking expensive now I can’t stop. I mean, I probably can, but I can’t.

  17. I do my research and buy the most up to date and current top of the line kit and usually it lasts me 3 years. My kit is usually heavy and looks like it can kill a man but it’s durable and lasts so I get my money’s worth.

Yes I’ve been vaping for 7 years and have no plans to stop.

  18. These things are litering the roads around my house, about a mile out of town. Folks coming to and from work wing them out the windows. Does my fucken head in, at least fag butts disintegrate after a while. Batteries not so much.

  19. These things are a fucking plague. Worse than cigs.
About 3 months off them myself and using a normal vape. Went down from 20mg nicotine to 10mg. Feeling so much better already.

Wishing the best you mate. Small steps.

  20. They cracked down on vaping 5-6 years ago and just opened the door for disposable vapes (ya know, the ones predominantly put out by sub brands of the big tobacco companies).

TPD man, still grinds my gears because we all saw the train wreck situation we’re in now with the streets covered in these yokes and kids with them surgically attached to their faces, as the obvious outcome way back then.

  21. I (34m) never smoked in my life and started vaping these when having a drink last year. Proper addicted to them now!

  22. Christ lad.. you could have bought and ran a decent setup for way less than that, multiple even… these were originally designed to be thrown in a rucksack, drawer, etc, in case your main vape broke or something to tide you over till you got it sorted, not as a main vape

  23. These should be banned asap, what a total waste of the worlds finite resources

    Dreadful

Its all in the mind, the only things the lungs need is air

  24. Every single one of these has a rechargeable lithium ion battery. None of them are getting recycled properly. They’re an environmental disaster and should be illegal to sell. Nobody should buy shit like this.

  25. Can’t believe we are banned from plastic straws and this shite is allowed.

It’s almost like this environment stuff is largely performative!

  26. Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Quit Vaping/Smoking, read it. It has changed my life. Really makes you understand the nicotine trap. It shows how once you’re addicted to nicotine, you need it just to feel like a non-vaper. And once you realise that it’s the one causing the stress that it also relieves, it makes it so much easier to quit.

  27. Yeah no shit sherlock, only morons have to learn something like this the hard way. It’s also such a fucking waste, not only in plastic but each has a lithium ion battery that is extremely toxic to environments if disposed of incorrectly. How do you plan to dispose of them? I thought our generation would make moves to repair the planet not piss on its dying corpse..
