Hey, I know that stop. Used to live not too far away. Had it happen to me rarely but also not the first time either
At least you had tracking, my bus was 30 m late today without any info. The bus even disappeared on the app.
When was this? A lot of road works and deviations in the area. Creating jams all around. But yeah, long live public transport.
Hey at least they notified you in some way.
Hey, i live so close by there. Pass there almost daily.
Hate to break it to you, but bus delays are not unique to Belgium.
Either the driver overslept or the bus they got assigned turned out to be defect and needed another one or heck the second one also turned out to be defect, wouldn’t be the first time 😮💨
Sometimes things break, can’t really do anything about that. Maybe there was an accident, maybe the bus had a defect, …
When I was in Paraguay there wasn’t even a schedule, just had to wait for x amount of hours and hope the bus showed up.
Ah, the old “not sure the bus is on time or if the previous one is an hour late”.
I absolutely loved public transport in Russia and Ukraine by the way, it was extremely effective! I worked in Kyiv for a month and had an hour commute to work with bus and subway. I was never late. And you have to imagine that by bus I actually meant a “marshrutka”, which is basically a big van. You get in, you sit down, you get out your money and pass it to the one sitting in front of you. Passengers pass the money to each other until it reaches the driver and if necessary the driver hands back change in the same way. It wasn’t more than 50 cents per ride, I think. When you reach your destination you just yell “this is my stop!”
If you ever have the chance to visit Ukraine (not Russia, fuck Russia), you absolutely have to experience a marshrutka ride. They look shady as hell (the one I used to take was operated by a father, and the underaged son collected the money), but they’re included in public transport in Google maps. The front of the van is usually decorated with icons, like this: https://images.app.goo.gl/iomvyGZQRAGjzGHr8
Oh no, one public transport service had a terrible delay on one line!! This is definitely something that only ever happens in Belgium
