Surprised by the Greece percentage. Also courious how the UK percentage was calculated
I’m sure Ireland had a few as they had significant numbers of people cross to the UK to work and/or enlist. 8% of the prewar population migrated to the UK during WW2.
The Irish government treated them more or less as traitors after the war; not being eligible for government jobs, military pensions and access to welfare in addition to being publicly named and shamed.
The casualties in Romania and Moldova would’ve been 0 if it Russia weren’t so greedy and had stolen their lands.
Armenia with 13.6% and that after losing 50-70% of our population during WW1.
In the Baltics it was basically all Jewish casualties
