Europe by WW2 casualties as a percentage of the population

  1. I’m sure Ireland had a few as they had significant numbers of people cross to the UK to work and/or enlist. 8% of the prewar population migrated to the UK during WW2.

The Irish government treated them more or less as traitors after the war; not being eligible for government jobs, military pensions and access to welfare in addition to being publicly named and shamed.

  2. The casualties in Romania and Moldova would’ve been 0 if it Russia weren’t so greedy and had stolen their lands.
