The painter’s wife (who also took part in making the painting) is my dad’s cousin. They specialise in hyper realistic paintings and have done a lot of posters and portraits. She’s done political personalities. 10-20 years ago they were very low on money and sold a lot of their originals, which my mom and dad bought some of to help them, including this one. Afaik there’s no other version of the painting, I have no idea why there’s a 7 on the back. My dad regularly orders portraits of his grand children to support her.
