  1. If someone says *checks notes* I automatically assume they spend too much time on the internet. Same with “But…but…but…reddit told me”.

  2. why does every forget the time we tried to invade Canada? It was pretty ambitious. We probably should have started with something a bit smaller like Malta or Iceland.

  3. This has to be a parody/satire account. There’s many of them on Twitter.

The only thing I will say is that the Irish government has colluded in US terrorism, by allowing military jets to refuel at Shannon. The illegal invasion of Iraq, based on non existent WMD (which they were aware didn’t exist) left one million innocent Iraqi women, men and children slaughtered, and the country in complete disarray, from which it has never recovered. There’s also been mass civilian deaths in Afghanistan. Also, many of those jets were on illegal rendition exercises, where prisoners of war were illegally tortured in Guantanamo Bay.

I will point out that the Irish themselves were, and always have been, outraged. The biggest protest in Ireland, ever, was the protest against the illegal invasion of Iraq. Half a million peeps lined the streets. A staggering turn out, given the population. It’s the Irish government that has blood on its hands.

  4. People seem to forget in this day in age Russia is basically the eastern European version of Britain only difference is Russia cant let go of there past, and Ukraine is basically Ireland very similar history in the last 100 or so years

  5. Ireland helped the French and English colonisation efforts in places like India and St Kitts. Not an imperialist nation in its own right, but not completely faultless victims either.
