Labour increasingly confident that they can finally defeat Labour

  1. Every Labour Prime Minister and every party leader (sans Foot and Corbyn) has had to do battle the weirder elements of the party, and none fully defeated them (though the ones that became PM are the ones that fought those battles best).

Such is the nature of the party. It’ll be like this forever and ever, always repeating, until the end of days.

  2. The problem Labour has is that Labour always wants to fight them. Every time. So when Labour wants to unify the party, Labour is always there to stop them. Tale as old as time.

  3. At this point I’m convinced that Labour has had paid saboteurs for years. Any time there’s talk of Labour becoming popular you can always trust one of them to start talking about Isreal and then the papers explode with all this antisemitism shit.

Also don’t forget the hugely uneven playing field during elections. Diane Abbot making a mistake with some numbers on an interview is treated with shock and awe by the media for a couple of weeks whilst Tories get to slide through with lies and not answering questions.

  4. The Conservative Party is far more fractious than Labour have ever been, yet the myth is that in-fighting is a Labour thing only.

What is a Labour thing only is the vast media effort to undermine Labour, talking up even mild disagreements to appear like mass feuding.

  5. Some Labour supporters spend more time criticising their own party than the Tories. Many of them genuinely hate Starmer.

  6. It’s not even satire, every time the Labour party is in a position to score a hit on the Tories they self-destruct. The current Tory party disaster is a self-inflicted wound that Labour are trying to capitalise on.

  7. My main problem with Labour is they won’t save the NHS. They will continue it’s privatisation. From rainbows in windows and clapping to the final death blows in the blink of an eye. Disgraceful.

  8. I knew I shouldn’t have read these comments. Is it any wonder the left is in the state it’s in? Always been the biggest problem that the left is more interested in policing the left than fighting the right

  9. I think it’s pretty clear now that the choices are no longer left vs right as the tories are closer UKIP and labour is closer to what the Tories used to be. So your choices are now Tory or Tory lite.

  10. The only way they will beat the conservatives is through better policies.

Unfortunately they spend most of their time playing media politics and try to win from outrage rather than showing their hand.

Until we have an honest labour government that pushes the policies the people actually want rather than those they tell us we MUST want, they are not even in the running.

  11. It is still pretty disgusting how many people still say that they will still vote conservative!

Where have they been for the last 13 years?

So the Daily Wail says that there is no alternative. That proves what a waste of oxygen it is.

My dog is better at economics than them!
