Jaloviina never again. One juhannus we drank too much of that stuff with the appiukko and then decided to drive the toyota to the rantasauna so we could listen to iskelmäradio on the stereo. We (I) drove the car into the oja and had to pull it out with the traktori. Next day I had probably the worst krapula of my life.
Not a fan of lapin kulta (or any other finnish bulk lager anyway…) but *Jallu is great. **Jallu was great too. But ***Jallu is too cognac-y for me.
If you like Jallu you should try Puolustuslaitos Leikattu too!

You should try Star Wars (ask for Tähtien Sota) next time: half one star Jallu and half three star Jallu. It’s not the worst thing ever!

Ugh. Makes my stomach turn just remembering the taste.

If you want to get hammered and a bit of a buzz, you will add a cup of coffee into that. And you always order a set of three: beer, jallu and coffee.
Haven’t had those for years, but after a three sets, you’re awake, getting slightly hammered and ready for some action. 🙂
I have about a thousand beers on Untappd and Lapin Kulta is the worst beer you can find in all of Finland. In fact you could not even [call it beer in Germany](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinheitsgebot) because like most bulk lager in Finland, it’s made of barley starch, not barley.
It used to be good in the early 90’s. Now it’s the cheapest watery crap you can find anywhere.
Jallu however, that’s good stuff for its price. Wins in blind tasting against most VSOP cognacs.
I would skip Lapinkulta and take 2 Jallu for that 11€
