Keine Massenüberwachung an Schweizer Bahnhöfen!

  1. It is unfortunate that the KTipp article that kicked this off is behind a paywall; it appears at least to have been slightly misleading.

  2. “Massenüberwachung” lol
Let’s say this system is active and you walk through the train station. This system registers you as e.g. en279G4joY369Nwn: {track43: 11:02:20, crossingY: 11:03:40, placeZ: 11:05:15, track15: 11:05:55}. So “you” are just an artificial identifier connected to a movement pattern which can be used to see how long it takes the average person to move from place A to place B, which stores are visited on which trips and how many people are crossing one place within 1 minute for example. So SBB can check for pathing issues caused by their timetable or adjust rent, signing, and whatever else.
