Hello Everyone,
I am posting this in the r/germany to get local tips.
Our rented apartment in Germany had quite a bit of moisture in the windows for a few days and as a result, the floor underneath got wet. Now that specific area of the wood has some black/white scars. See the attached picture.
What solutions do we have now?
* Is it possible to remove these scars/marks using some products?
* If we were to replace. this specific area of the floor, how expensive would that be?
* If this is left untreated, can it spread?
In general, the floor of our apartment was already quite old and used when we rented the apartment.

Not an expert at all, but that looks like it could be mold. If it’s just on the surface, you can maybe try cleaning it off with some **very gentle** cleaning product, but be careful not to damage the wood further. If it is mold, you might want to check whether your windows actually insulate properly, though, because that would require some serious moisture over a prolonged period.
It’s hard to tell from the picture, but this seems likely to be Laminat (sorry, no idea how to translate that) rather than something more fancy, so you can probably get a box of similar-looking Laminat at a hardware store or something to replace the damaged panels if need be. Crap load of work though, especially if it’s not in an easily accessible place.
Yeah, that looks like mold to me. My DIYed kitchen counter looked like that around the sink for a while before it started growing black mold.
So yeah, if it keeps getting wet, it will spread and get worse.
I honestly don’t know how to properly fix it, though.
