The decoupling started with Thatcher at Sunningdale. She wanted an exit out of NI and all along the way the supremists who want their sectarian apartheid statelet back have resisted democracy.
But also don’t have a border between NI and Ireland….and don’t have a border between Britain and NI….and also you need some kind of border between Ireland and Britain….but not in NI.
They got their £1bn to help prop up May’s government, the Tories are now done with them. The negotiations should have been eye-opening as to how the Tories see Northern Ireland and it is not good news.

We should honestly just trade them to Ireland for a better deal with the EU

The DUP are idiots NI had the best economic spring back out of all other sections of the UK after COVID, due to the protocol we also have lower fuel and electricity costs than Britain.
