I’d imagine the line up will be something like
FF – Michael Martin, the chance to step away from the leadership role, respected on the international stage
FG – Possibly Enda, again respected internationally.
SF – Someone from the North who wasn’t in the RA, possibly someone who hasn’t been involved in politics ? Joe Brolly ????
Again if they go with a politician Finuncaine ? From good republican stock, well known barrister
Labour – Pat Rabbite ?
Independents – Ming ? Although loving life in Belgium growing a few plants on his balcony won’t get away with that in the Aras.
Adams is way worse than Bertie
With the whole protecting his paedo brother for 15 years and covering up rapes in IRA
No to Bertie too
Enda Kenny or Michael Martin fine

Surprise surprise, the two most controversial Irish politicians of the 21st century aren’t popular with the electorate. Ridiculous that Bertie would even consider it given how his tenure ended and enough said about Adams.
I’m not great fan of either but Enda Kenny or Micheal Martin both emerged from the Taoiseach office with a lot more dignity than either of this pair did from there careers and would probably do a perfectly grand non-controversial job. Preferably not someone from a big party though, but if we go down that route we can do better than Adams and Ahern.
2 vanity projects. They’ve had their chance, did what they did. Some good, mostly bad. Enjoy your undeserved astronomical pensions and fuck off.
