This seems a positive step overall and it is backtracking from where they were. The HSE’s hand has been forced because the Cass report tore strips off the UK affirmation-only model. The HSE was sending patients to the Tavistock Clinic that got shut down.
If they listen to what Dr Hillary Cass has to say then that’s a good thing.
