I got the idea from this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ameo9v0FvU) that one of the guys went out somewhere in Japan, showing his parents around the area he’s visiting, as soon as he said he and his girlfriend live in Japan the owner of the establishment suddenly guided them into a shed that stores back shed gin, as he has his own distillery, basically like moonshine, asking them if they wanted to try the concoction he’s been working on.
In hindsight, if you bring friends or family abroad, and visited a certain bar or establishment in Poland admitted you live there, suddenly if they showed you their secret stash of alcohol or moonshine they’ve brewed themselves, would you drink it?

Yeah, some people make their own alcohol here (bimber/samogon).
I was about to say “Well, if I saw the equipment and it looked decent and the person looked trustworthy” but I know from past experience in other countries I always answer yes to the question “would you like to try my moonshine?”
It probably can’t be any worse than the szarlotka drink a friend brought over once, that stuff was apple, cinnamon and jet fuel
Some people distill their own, but it’s largely associated with low-lives if not borderline pathology.
Depends if it’s in Poland A or B.
I would accept moonshine only from trustworthy people. Friends’ friends at least.
My uncle brews his own, would make me feel right at home.
Moonshine from “Duch Puszczy” is a good stuff. Illegal but always good quality.
You just have to be from the east or have family there.
My friends family make their own alcohol. He throws a big party at his birthday in summer and man, he’s bimber is great. No hangover next day, and he adds his own juices from his own garden, so we have like 10 different tastes of alcohol. All coulors of rainbow. But I wouldn’t drink bomber from stranger…
