Everyone local is aware of the fact that they shared videos of themselves on social media drinking and taking canisters before going out in the car for what was intended to be a 40min-1hour long journey (though at the speed they were likely going could probably have been done in 20 minutes).
It’s stupid enough getting in the car with a drunk driver for a quick 5-10 minute journey home from the pub. To do so for a 35-40 mile journey is beyond idiotic.
Idiots and wasted lives I’m afraid. Only saving grace is that it was at the dead of night and the roads were relatively quiet so no one else was hurt.
I assumed it was a remote site but it was in Cardiff.
I’ve heard the rumours, and I don’t know if they’re true or not, but ffs, mothers and fathers have just lost sons/daughters, have some respect
The worst thing about this is that one of the girls who died also had a sister that died about 10 years ago as the passenger of a drunk driver.
I was driving saturday morning my bus at 4am and VW came in the roundbout with atleast 60mp if i was 20 metters ahead he will went straith into me

This post is worse than any Daily Mail comments section I’ve accidentally seen. Nobody asked you your opinion on drink drivers. And I’m pretty sure these three people were passengers too so how about you climb down off your high horses and keep your mouth shut if you’ve got nothing decent to say. Clowns.
This is so sad, obviously not condoning drink/drug driving, but we all make mistakes when young. Feeling sorry for the parents and community, they must be going through it right now.
You don’t drink and drive. Simple. It’s beyond ridiculous that people still aren’t learning this lesson.
Imagine seeing a post like this and your first thought is “I must comment to let everyone know I have no sympathy” we really are a rotten nation of miserable bastards.
Yes he was wasted and willingly got behind the wheel and started driving which ended up in 3 lost lives but he was a bright lad and an aspiring footballer wouldn’t harm a fly rip x
I may have missed something about this story but as far as I’m aware this is all supposition just like there was lots in the Nicola Bulley story. It may well be likely that drink/drugs driving was a factor but until post mortem and investigations are carried out none of us know the facts. Might have been a sober driver but distracted by general frivolity in the car, tiredness, animal running out in front of the car, who knows. Whatever the reason it was a tragic loss of 3 young lives and 2 left critical and potentially life changing injuries. So very sad. Condolences and thoughts to all those concerned including the rescue workers who must have found the recovery of these young people very traumatising xx
Guy in the middle was known for his drug fuelled benders. Would disappear for days only to return worse for wear.
You can tell what really happened just by looking at them , let’s be real here they seriously endangered the lives of others.
What is “taking canisters”? Genuine question (I’m an ‘oldy’) – I’ve seen pics of people taking puff balloons of ‘laughing gas (squeaky voice fun etc) but is there a drugs version?
