The flag carrier in the front likely belongs to the [Iron Front](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Front), a mostly social democratic organization fighting against anti-democratic groups. The three arrows symbolize the battle against monarchists, Nazis and communists.
The OG antifa.
I highly recommend the book Hitler’s Beneficiaries by Götz Aly. It describes perfectly how the entire apparatus of nazism worked so well: the working class was almost entirely free of big tax burdens, they forced the big industry guys to pay up exorbitant taxes for the war effort all the while making sure that ordinary citizens in Germany felt supported and cared for – pillaging of other countries for personal gain was encouraged and that’s why many grandmothers until today remember the war post parcel with Ukrainian furs, French furniture and Bulgarian meat so fondly. Also, older officials were dismissed – the main commanders/governors of Ukraine for example were in their 20s being encouraged to “innovate” and “get things done”. Hitler gave a young generations of Germans vast freedom powers according to this book – one revelation to me was that there was never a direct guideline as to how to deal with the occupied country by Hitler or his servants. Usually the governors of occupied territories heard “Do as your Füher would like it to be governed” and so they did. The nazis employed something akin to the Harzburger Modell (which was actually modelled by nazi supporters and nazis themselves after the war!) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harzburger_Modell for delegation of work which got only recently (last decades) re-discovered by English-speaking businesses worldwide. The entire book is so fascinating it’s a must read.
TNO reference
Yes yes Germans, you guys were actually the good guys it’s just this damn Nazi-UFO that took over your country back then
This is a personal matter for me, but I fucking hate how the Nazis corrupted the swastika. For thousands of years, the swastika was a symbol of wellbeing in India and Indian-influenced areas. The symbol dates back to the ancient Indo-Europeans, who associated it with their gods as a positive symbol.
But because the Nazis had some insane racial superiority theories about Aryans, the swastika has become a symbol of hate and genocide. It’s an actual serious example of cultural misappropriation. I’d prefer the Nazi use of the symbol to be known as the hakenkreuz in English to differentiate its meaning from that of the swastika.
