Sure we feed the bubble instead of solving problems. And because of that we get more problems great idea.
Yeah migration will solve the housing problem and the traffic issues. Migration is the solution to all problems, it’s the holy grail to increase eternal growth of a country. For Switzerland shall grow until every peak and valley has been populated. We can chop all trees and drain all lakes for even more space, for the necessary constant growth in population. Maybe one day we’ll even overtake Los Angeles!
TBH having less population can also be a good thing…

Once the swiss are the minority the albanian national council can decide to close all borders.
Yeah. We need more people!! SOMEBODY HAS TO PAY OUR RENT!! Suddenly everyone stops caring about the environment. If we all would just have to save money for rent ourselves instead of hoping for others to pay for our food and house one day, the whole climate debate would actually move an actual bit forward instead of going nowhere.
It’s so sad that the system requires us to either “generate” people (sorry) or to get them from all over the world. Very unsustainable in itself.
Going just by numbers, Switzerland is not that densely populated country in Western Europe
Infinite growth is a capitalistic cult that will destroy our territory and create unnecessary social tensions.
It’s kind of the story all around the first world. Not enough young, too many old. Fill the gap with migrants. Predictable backlash that the country doesn’t feel like “ours” anymore.
