  1. We all had a good idea that he was not to be trusted but some people said he would be a good laugh down the pub so voted for him.

“ But then what did we expect from a man who has been fired not once but twice for lying? In 1988 the young Johnson was sacked from The Times for fabricating a quote in an article, and in 2004 he was “relieved of his duties” as shadow arts minister of the Tory Party for allegedly lying about an extra-marital affair.”

He was full of shit as Mayor of London

“ As Mayor of London he promised to totally eradicate rough sleeping by 2012; it doubled under his leadership. His 2008 manifesto promised there would be manned ticket offices at every station; he closed all of London’s ticket offices. He aimed to reduce transport fares; they increased by 4.2 per cent”

  2. This is one of the reasons why our lockdowns were so ineffective and our death toll was so high.

The Tories had spent years training half of the country not to trust experts or people who had any kind of specialist knowledge. And they had spent years proving to the other half of the country that they couldn’t be trusted.

So there was an extreme lack of trust when they told us why we needed to go into lockdown. Especially since they would contradict themselves – promising that there absolutely wouldn’t be another lockdown, slandering anyone who disagreed with them and then announcing another lockdown.

As a result, we spent longer in lockdown and we also didn’t get the benefits of lockdown. It really was the worst of all worlds!

  3. Was, not to be trusted & still is, not to be trusted. He should just go away, back to America would do…

  4. Just Boris Johnson? Try the whole Tory party there all only in it to line there own pockets problem is I can’t see the Labour Party being much better? What ever happened to the Lib Dem’s?

  5. That Boris Johnson was/is a lying A’hole has always been very evident – yet he still gets some support from his colleagues..

  6. He wasn’t really though. Plenty of people backed him and felt that him being forced out over Partygate was unfair, they liked his fake persona and thought that made him a man of the people or a political renegade. Johnson was popular, if not trusted, which is more than Truss or Sunak can claim to be. For all his faults (and that is an exhaustive list), Johnson was very popular amongst average Tory voters.
