`I’m lucky enough to be paid on 15th of each month …. it always seems to come around quickly.`
I want to shoot the person who came up with monthly pay.
Yes you learn how to budget but its still painful
Separate your accounts if possible. Salary to one account, bills from another. Pay your bills account on payday and budget the rest. Revolut can help a lot to portion/budget your money.
I get paid at the beginning of the month…. So it’s just like a normal month for my thankfully.

I get it when starting off a new job and you’ve no money, but if you’re working a few years and living paycheck to pay check, it’s probably a sign that you have poor control over your finances.
And before people reply talking about the cost of living in Ireland, I’ve lived through it. I was paying 60% of my take home pay (which was monthly) for rent on a shitty bedsit before. But even then, I was able to put together a budget that after a few months meant that I had enough of a buffer so I wouldn’t be living pay check to pay check.
And that’s not to mention that most people I know who complain about monthly wages are people who are getting paid more than enough that they shouldn’t have to worry about the frequency of their pay check. These are people who are making constant small purchases (like lunch from a restaurant and multiple coffees from a café every day) as if that doesn’t all add up.
Getting paid 5 days early. Going to be a long January
We usually get paid on the 25th. Because that’s obviously a great idea.
Fucking monthly wages. Fuck them with a rusty screwdriver.
