Doesn’t really matter, SNB doesn’t have to make profits (sure cantons would hope so in order to get some money), but to make monetary policy that stabilizes the economy, reduces inflation etc

As long as they hold the CHF stable it’s ok. They have not to do a plus every year like the last years. € lost so much of it’s valid no wonder the SNB lost money, it’s not a secret that they bought tons of € to hold our own currency stable. ( Could be that I’m talking total bs but it’s what I learned once xD)
